We strongly encourage all pet owners to microchip their pets. Unfortunately, one in three pets will go missing at some point in their lifetime. Many of these are “indoor only” cats and dogs. Without effective identification, 90 percent of those lost pets never return home.
Microchips are the best and easiest way to identify where a pet belongs and help it be returned home. When we microchip a pet this service includes:
- implanting the microchip
- lifetime registration in the lost pet registry
- a plastic yellow dog house tag with the microchip number
- 1-year subscription in the Home AgainPet Rescuers service (optional renewal)
